SCORE to Host Free Panel Discussion On "Experiences in Small Business Management - a Woman's Point of View"

A panel of women entrepreneurs discusses their experiences dealing with a variety of business issues from a woman's point of view.

Old Saybrook, CT: The Southeastern Connecticut chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to the success of small businesses, continues its year-round series of Small Business Workshops with a panel discussion by women entrepreneurs followed by a question and answer period. The three-member panel will discuss their experiences dealing with a variety of issues from a woman’s point of view. Businessmen, existing business owners or anyone thinking of starting a business will benefit from the discussions, experiences and observations of the panelists. MEN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND!

The panelists are local businesswomen who are volunteering their time to be part of this learning and sharing experience.

Janet Morganti , founder of Colors of the Wind Artists’ Emporium and Consignment, LLC in Durham, CT.

Katie Hughes, owner of Perk-On-Main with Restaurant locations in both Durham and Guilford, CT.

Mayra Cordero, independent distributor for Premier Design high fashion jewelry.

Michael Del Vecchio will be the moderator. He currently counsels SCORE clients in Middletown. He has started several business-consulting firms, worked at Price Waterhouse in New York City, and was Chief Technical Officer for a large insurance corporation. He is a professional project manager and has experience working on merger/acquisition teams, developing strategic plans, executing large financial systems projects, and managing mid-sized organizations.
