An 18-year-old went missing in the Connecticut River after going out to rescue his two younger brothers, according to a report.

HADDAM, CT — Crews returned to Haddam Meadows State Park Tuesday morning to search for a swimmer who went missing in the Connecticut River on Monday, according to multiple reports.

FOX 61 reports rescue crews are searching for an 18-year-old who went under the water after going out to rescue his two younger brothers. The search was called off Monday night due to darkness.

William Davis told FOX 61 that it is his son who was reported as the missing swimmer. Davis said his son is a hero, and he knows his younger boys are safe because of their brother.
