"The CT Yankee Council is selling Deer Lake Scout Reservation," wrote organizers of the Facebook group. "Our mission is to either raise enough money to purchase the camp outright or make sure that the land is protected as an educational and recreational camp or as a conservation area. The mission may evolve as we hear from the community and interested parties."
