Soul Singer Grayson Hugh to Perform at East Haddam Church
The artist will perform as part of the East Haddam Congregational Church's summer series on music.

Soul singer/songwriter Grayson Hugh and his wife singer Polly Messer will be performing at the East Haddam Congregational Church this weekend.
The couple will present "A Midsummer's Night Concert" as part of the East Haddam church's ongoing concert series, "The Music at the Meetinghouse."
The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the 499 Town St. church and a reception with the artists will follow.
Hugh, a West Hartford native, started playing the piano at three years old. In his teens he was influenced by rock and roll but also was the pianist in an African-American gospel church, studied with jazz pianist Jaki Byard and avant garde pianist Ran Blake, and composed for several well-known choreographers, according to his website.
