1 Dead In Fatal Boating Accident In Haddam: DEEP

HADDAM, CT — State Environmental Conservation Police said they are investigating a fatal boating accident that occurred Friday afternoon in Haddam.

According to a news release, EnCon police responded to a report of a single vessel boating accident on the Connecticut River in the vicinity of Haddam Meadows State Park at approximately 3:20 p.m.

Police said Haddam EMS transported one victim, a 64-year-old male from Higganum, to Middlesex Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The name of the victim is not being released at this time, police said.

EnCon Police said they are currently investigating the accident.
