State Police Seek Suspect in Westbrook Armed Robbery
State Police detectives are investigating a recent Westbrook armed robbery.
WESTBROOK, CT - Connecticut State Police detectives are investigating a recent armed robbery that occurred in Westbrook.
Troopers responded Tuesday to a report of an armed robbery at the Jo Jo’s Food Mart-Valero on Route 1 at approximately 11:36 p.m., according to a release. Officers describe the suspect as a lone white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and white colored facial hair.
The suspect was wearing a white-colored winter hat, an olive green-colored Carhartt hooded coat, dark shoes and possibly black and blue pants. He displayed a black-colored handgun with a silver-colored barrel and demanded money from the store clerk.

After receiving the money, the suspect fled the store on foot. No firearms were discharged and no injuries were reported during the incident, according to police.
Police are still investigating the situation. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact Troop F at 860-399-2100.
