Stolen Rifle and Scrap-Metal, Breach of Peace and Failure to Appear in Court

Haddam area police activity reports.

 

The Haddam Resident Troopers' Office and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F in Westbrook report the following incidents:


BURGLARY - On Feb. 15th at 9:47 a.m., George Allen, 20, of 36 Deep River Road, Essex was observed by police, walking along Deep River Road in Centerbrook. After confirming an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police took Allen into custody for the charge of 3rd-degree burglary. He was transported to Troop F and processed. Allen was held on a $2,500 non-surety bond and later transported to Troop E in Montville, related to the outstanding warrant. He was given a court date of 3/1/12 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.

BURGLARY AND LARCENY - On Feb. 17th at 8:08 a.m., State Police were assigned to a Winthrop Road, Deep River address to investigate a forced entry into a home. Unknown person(s) entered a garage and took approximately $200 worth of scrap copper. The victim provided police with possible suspect information, but the case remains active pending further investigation.

BREACH OF PEACE - On Feb. 18th at 4:40 a.m., Bobbie-Jo Brooks, 39, of Christian Hill Road, Higganum was arrested and charged with the above, as a result of a physical altercation involving a staff member at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Brooks was released on a promise to appear and scheduled for arraignment on 2/29/12 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.

BURGLARY AND LARCENY - On Feb. 18th at 1:46 p.m., police were called to a Joshuatown Road, Lyme residence to investigate the theft of a .22 caliber rifle. The gun was reported taken from an upstairs bedroom closet. Nothing else at the home appeared to be missing. Anyone with possible information that could help police with this investigation is asked to contact the Connecticut State Police, Troop F at 860-399-2100.

OPERATING A MOTOR-VEHICLE WHILE LICENSE OR REGISTRATION IS SUSPENDED AND FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT - On Feb. 21st at 9:04 p.m., Catherine Stanley, 41, of Parmelee Lane, Haddam was arrested pursuant to an outstanding warrant for the above violations. Stanley was released on a $1,000 professional-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 3/6/12.
