Teen Seriously Injured After Haddam Car Crash

A Clinton teenager driving alone in his car reportedly struck a tree head-on in the Higganum area of Haddam the evening of Tuesday, August 11.

Trooper Enrico Milardo was quoted in the Middletown Press as saying the 17-year-old was driving at a fast rate during the rainstorm, allegedly losing control of the car in the area of Killingworth Road and Hidden Lake Road.

He was extricated from the car and transported to the hospital. Police are asking anyone with information on the accident to contact Milardo at 860-345-2769.
