The Prom PROMise

East Haddam high school students pledge against drugs and alcohol on prom night.

This prom season, Youth Helping Youth, is promoting healthy decision making among high school students by utilizing the Prom PROMise.Β 

By signing this promise, students pledge against underage drinking and the use of drugs on prom night.Β  There are currently 50+ promises signed by Nathan Hale-Ray students.Β  Students can sign the pledge up until prom night - those who complete the pledge will be recognized at the prom. Β 

Youth Helping Youth is a high school leadership group that works with East Haddam Youth & Family Services to promote safe and healthy life styles among East Haddam youth. Β  Β

This prom season, I am making promises to keep the community, my classmates, and myself safe...

On prom night...
I PROMise to not use drugs or alcohol because not only do I care about being safe, but also because I want to remember this night.

I PROMise to drive safe.
I PROMise to remind my friends and classmates to do the same.
I PROMise to remember how valuable my life is. I PROMISE to remember how important my friends are.
I PROMISE to remember that I can never get this night back.
