Town of Haddam: Code of Ethics

A public hearing will be held tonight to discuss a proposed Code of Ethics Ordinance.

 

The Haddam Board of Selectmen will be holding a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the at 21 Field Park Drive in Haddam to discus a proposed Code of Ethics Ordinance.

According to the town's website, "the trust of the public in their elected and appointed officials is essential for government to function effectively."

The purpose of the code, as stated by the town, is to "establish suitable ethical standards for such individuals by prohibiting those acts not in the best interests of the Town of Haddam."
