Tractor Trailer Carrying 30,000 Pounds of Strawberries Rolls Over on I-95: Police

A tractor trailer carrying approximately 30,000 pounds of strawberries rolled over in Old Saybrook.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT - A tractor trailer carrying approximately 30,000 pounds of strawberries rolled over in Old Saybrook on Friday, News 8 reported. Responding officers found the trailer overturned on an Interstate 95 ramp.

The Route 9 southbound ramp to I-95 north was reported closed by the Department of Transportation at 7:11 a.m., according to News 8. State police say there were minor injuries in the rollover. (To sign up for the Haddams and Killingworth breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police said the cause of the rollover is unknown, News 8 reported. The tractor trailer was carrying 30,000 pounds of strawberries.
