Haddam man dies from motorcycle accident injuries.

A Haddam man who lost control of his motorcycle on Route 154 last week has died from head injuries he sustained in the accident.

Brian Thomas, 55, of 18 Parsonage Road, was riding his motorcyle in the southbound lane of the state highway at around 4 p.m. when he lost control of it just south of the highway’s intersection with Route 81, said police at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook. Thomas, who slid off the motorcycle and struck a stone wall, was taken by Lifestar helicopter to Hartford Hospital. He died Friday night as a result of “severe head injuries,” police said.

 Leonard L. Bazar, 53, of 31 Rock Landing Road, Haddam, was charged Monday, March 28, in Westbrook with two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court, failure to wear a seatbelt, no insurance and driving with a suspended license.

Renee Comeau, 47, of 340 Brainard Hill Road, Higganum, was charged Tuesday, March 29, in Haddam with driving with a suspended license.

Thomas F. Smith III, 29, of 972 Killingworth Road, Higganum, was charged Saturday, April 2, in Essex, with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and traveling too fast.
