Troopers Investigating Haddam Burglaries: State Police
Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
HADDAM, CT — Connecticut State Troopers from Troop F-Westbrook said they are seeking information regarding a suspect following a burglary and attempted burglary in Haddam.
According to a news release, troopers responded to Deb’s Restaurant, located at 40 Saybrook Road in Higganum, on Monday at 3:28 a.m. for a reported burglary.
'Upon arrival, troopers learned that the suspect, who appeared to be a white male wearing a dark-hooded
sweatshirt and gloves, used a crowbar to pry open the restaurant side door," Trooper First Class Kelly Grantsaid in a release. "Cash was reported stolen from the restaurant."

According to Grant, troopers were notified shortly after responding that the Middletown Police Department is investigating a reported break-in at Coyote Blue Restaurant, located at 1960 Saybrook Road in Middletown, just up the street from Deb’s Restaurant.
Troopers then responded to the Mobil gas station, located at 1016 Killingworth Road in Haddam, on Tuesday at approximately 5:13 a.m. for a reported attempted burglary, Grant said.

"The suspect attempted to force entry through the front door by prying the door frame with a crowbar and
kicking it, however the suspect was unable to gain entry," Grant said. "The victim told troopers that it did not appear as though anything was taken."
Grant said the suspect from the Deb’s Restaurant burglary and Mobil gas station attempted burglary appear to be the same.
