The 5th Annual Appetite for Life, a month-long charitable dining program partnering the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center and more than 20 restaurants and businesses in Middlesex County, will kick off on Wednesday, May 28 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Tuscany Grill in Middletown.
The kick-off will be hosted by restaurant owners Brenda Reilly and Lynne Reilly. The two women collaborated with Middlesex Hospital in 2010 to found Appetite for Life in memory of Tim Reilly, Brendaβs brother and Lynneβs husband. Reilly died from cancer in November 2009.
βTimβs courage during his battle with cancer was an inspiration to all of us who loved and admired him,β Brenda Reilly said.

Appetite for Life benefits the hospitalβs cancer center. Each participating restaurant picks a date in June to donate a portion of that dayβs proceeds.
Tickets are $15 each and include appetizers, one drink ticket, a beer tasting provided by Harpoon Brewery, live music by Re-Animators, raffle prizes, and a photo booth provided by 5 Diamond DJ Productions. Jeff Pitchell will also be at the event signing CDs, and the first 100 people get a free CD.
