Two favorites for CT kids come together!

Margie Warner aka. Miss Margie is back in Connecticut to stay and she's helping to "Keep the Light Shining" at Ray of Light Farm.

Like ketchup and tater tots, two local favorites are finally coming together!

Margie Warner, local celebrity, entertainer and story teller had plans to pack up and move to Maine. She said her good byes and held a “Thank You” concert for her little fans at the Henry Carter Library in Clinton, CT. Then the rumor was out, Margie is back and here to stay!

“As far as staying in CT, I decided I just couldn’t leave. Like Dorothy & Toto, we discovered there’s no place like home.”

Meanwhile, Ray of Light Farm, a non-profit horse rescue and animal assisted therapy center in East Haddam had exciting news of their own.

In the past, Ray of Light Farm had been leasing their property from a family who was now ready to sell. After four years of extraordinary fundraising efforts, the farm was able to qualify for a mortgage which will close at the end of this month. Even with this impressive accomplishment the farm needs continuing community support in order to maintain the property and care for the 150 rescued horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and other furry residents as well as continuing to fund community outreach and animal assisted therapy programs.

To help, Margie Warner or Miss Margie, as she is known by most kids, has volunteered to perform a concert at the farms annual Halloween Party this weekend on October 18.
