Upcoming Open Houses In Haddam, East Haddam & Killingworth

HADDAM, CT — This weekend's lineup has a house built in 1930 for Moodus' town doctor, with the old office now a family room under a Palladian window, a 4,800-square-foot Haddam home near Haddam Meadows State Park and Killingworth's Well Maiden Estate, where waterfalls and streams meet at Kroopa Pond.

Six Haddam, East Haddam and Killingworth homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, with prices from $98,500 to $2,195,000, according to Zillow.com. Two are in Haddam, one is in East Haddam and three are in Killingworth.

Saturday, Oct. 31

39 Falls Road, Moodus, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (also Sunday, noon to 2 p.m.), $470,000. This three-bedroom, 1.5-bath Colonial was built in 1930 for the local doctor and has had only three owners, according to the listing. The doctor's former office is now a family room with its own entrance, a cathedral ceiling and a Palladian window, and there's a 14-by-19-foot screened porch and a walk-up floored attic. The listing cites a 2020 kitchen update and solar panels added in 2025. It has 2,534 square feet.

Sunday, Nov. 1

243 Hidden Lake Road, Higganum, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $625,000. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial sits on 1.7 acres with a backyard the owners left natural for birds and wildlife and a level side yard the listing says has hosted countless football games. The primary suite includes a room used as an office, and a fourth bedroom sits over the garage. It has 2,499 square feet.

18 Birch Mill Road, Killingworth, noon to 1:30 p.m., $2,195,000. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is the Well Maiden Estate, where cascading waterfalls, streams and Kroopa Pond meet across 3.5 acres. The listing says it began as a historic fishing shack, now a restored wing of a house with barreled wood ceilings, walls of glass and two living rooms with fieldstone fireplaces. Outside are a heated saltwater gunite pool and spa and a private clay tennis court. It has 3,700 square feet.

16 Country Club Trail, Killingworth, until 2 p.m. (check the listing for the start time), $98,500. This one-bedroom, one-bath mobile home is at Beechwood, an over-55 mobile home community, close to the clubhouse and inground pool. The interior walls were removed to open the kitchen, eating area and living room into one space. The listing says the home was pre-inspected and the seller had the recommended repairs done by professional contractors. It has 720 square feet and a $571 monthly fee on Zillow.

86 Laurel Ridge Trail, Killingworth, 1:30 to 3 p.m., $899,000. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial has a wraparound porch, a kitchen with double ovens and an inground pool with a fire pit on an upper terrace. A 23-by-23-foot suite above the garage has its own heating and cooling. It has 2,942 square feet on 2.7 acres.

81 Meeting House Road, Haddam, 3 to 5 p.m., $689,000. This five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home has about 4,800 square feet, according to the listing, including a wood-paneled solarium, a living room with an enormous wood-burning fireplace and an upstairs primary bedroom with its own fireplace. It's near Haddam Meadows State Park, and the listing says the $75-a-year Colonial Village Association includes access to a lake and 5 acres of recreation land. Zillow lists 4,841 square feet on 1.38 acres, and a new roof went on in 2024.
