WARNING: Icy Conditions on the Lower Moodus Reservoir Boat Launch
A 4-wheel-drive isn't always a guarantee on this stretch of roadway.
...As we continue to experience snowstorms, ice, below-zero temperatures and wind chills, along with the fact that the lower boat launch is not routinely maintained in the winter months, accessing this area has once again become hazardous.
Be cautious even if you have a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, as they seem to be no match for the layers of ice beneath the snow.
