Women & Family Life Center's Annual Gala Fundraiser "Men Who Cook"

Women & Family Life Center announces details of its 20th Men Who Cook Gala! Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 5 pm at the Owenego Inn in Branford

The event, sponsored by Owenego Inn, Karen Pritzker and Michael Vlock, Slocum and Sons, and Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health, will feature popular television and radio personality, Neil Fuentes, aka “The Singing Chef”, as the emcee and Eric Hummel from the world famous “Hummel Bros” as the Auctioneer. The night will be filled with great food, wine donated by Slocum and Sons, and good vibrations of raising money for the Center. The event features local “celebrities” and returning chefs cooking up their favorite dishes to dazzle you!!

Live Auction items include Vacation Getaways and a Private Dinner Party for 8 at which professional chef Jeff Trombetta will team up with Tony Pinto, owner of Shoreline Wine Merchants. Jeff is just back from Italy where he teaches a course each summer for the University of New Haven. He and Tony have created a wine dinner menu that they will cook in the privacy of the winners own home. Another plum Live Auction item is a Backyard BBQ Party with Hummel hotdogs and burgers to be grilled on your new, shiny grill donated by Page Hardware with music provided by John Saville of John Saville Entertainment. Additionally, there will be a wide variety of fun and exciting silent and live auction items.
