2 Men Charged In East Lyme Drug Bust, Police Say

Two men are facing charges after a police investigation in East Lyme.

EAST LYME, CT — Two people are facing drug charges in East Lyme, according to police.

The arrests follow residents reporting suspicious activity in the area of Clark Street.

Officers spotted a vehicle that they suspected was delivering drugs into the neighborhood.

Police stopped and searched the vehicle. Police said they found multiple bags of crack cocaine believed to be intended for sale as well as drug paraphernalia.

James Beasley, 57, of New London, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and motor vehicle violations.

Bryant Roy, 48, of East Lyme, was charged with possession of narcotics.

Roy and Beasley were both released after posting court-set bond.
