2 Men Charged In East Lyme Fatal Overdose: Police

Two men have been charged with selling drugs that led to the fatal overdose of a 21-year-old woman.

EAST LYME, CT — Two men were arrested in connection with a fatal overdose in East Lyme, according to police. Casey Bobowicz, 25, of Charlestown, RI, turned himself in Oct. 28 to the East Lyme Police Department on an active warrant for his arrest.

Police said Bobowicz sold drugs that led to the overdose of a 21-year-old woman in July.

He was charged with sale of a narcotic substance and later released on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

A second man, Dashawn Thompson, 30, of New London, was identified by Hartford police during an unrelated incident and taken into custody. Thompson was linked to the sale of drugs which led to the fatal overdose of the East Lyme woman.

He was charged with sale of a narcotic substance and released on $100,000 bond. Thompson is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 18.
