2 Women Arrested on Narcotics Charges in East Lyme

East Lyme police said they recently arrested two New London women on narcotics charges.

EAST LYME, CT - Police said they arrested two women Thursday on narcotics charges. Officers said they were found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a brief investigation.

A concerned citizen initially reported drug activity in a Liberty Way parking lot that afternoon around 4:15 p.m., according to a release. When officers arrived, they located the two suspects who police said immediately began hiding items. (To sign up for the Lymes breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Officers arrested Marcia Sapere, 33, and Alicia Sapere, 32, of New London on possession of narcotics charges, police said. They were both released on $5,000 non-surety bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on May 4, police said.
