2 Women Arrested on Narcotics Charges in East Lyme

EAST LYME, CT - Police said they arrested two women Thursday on narcotics charges. Officers said they were found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a brief investigation.

A concerned citizen initially reported drug activity in a Liberty Way parking lot that afternoon around 4:15 p.m., according to a release. Officers arrested Marcia Sapere, 33, and Alicia Sapere, 32, of New London on possession of narcotics charges, police said. They were both released on $5,000 non-surety bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on May 4, police said.
