2018-19 Budget, Tax Rate Set In Old Lyme: Report
Taxes will rise next year, but only by a small amount.

OLD LYME, CT — The town's mill rate is set to rise less than 1 percent next year, to 21.91 mills, to pay for Old Lyme's 2018-19 budget of $36,301,175, reports The Day.
The meat of the town's budget, general operations and Old Lyme's contribution to the Region 18 (Lyme-Old Lyme) School District, are both rising less than 2 percent each, in part because the district is returning money to Old Lyme that was unspent this year.
Additionally, to help keep the tax increase low, the Board of Finance is recommending an allocation of $300,000 to the budget from the town's surplus funds.
