50th summer suppers series celebrated at NCC

NIANTIC – A 50 year tradition continues this summer when Niantic Community Church gears up for their Summer Supper Series offering the community traditional roast turkey and roast beef dinners with all the trimmings as well as a sumptuous Lobster Stew dinner with alternative chicken option. The turkey and roast beef dinners will take place on Tuesday, July 12 and 26, and Lobster Stew dinner, featuring fresh Maine lobsters, will be August 9. All dinners are held 5:30-7:30 p.m. and offer indoor, air conditioned seating as well as outdoor seating, and take out is available.

The roast beef and turkey suppers include mashed potatoes, gravy, cole slaw, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and homemade desserts for the budget price of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The Lobster Stew Dinner includes corn on the cob, garden salad, lemonade and a choice of lobster stew or chicken breast and of course brownies and ice cream for dessert. Tickets for the Lobster Stew Dinner are sold in advance only, in the church office or by calling Sonya Hoisington at (860) 235-0170. Tickets are $20 for lobster and $10 for chicken.
