LYME, CT — An individual suffered serious burns at a worksite Wednesday morning and was airlifted to a burn unit in Bridgeport, according to fire officials.
The Lyme Fire Company said it responded to the scene along with Lyme emergency medical services personnel shortly after 8 a.m.
Life Star helicopter was requested to expedite the patient’s transport, and rescue personnel used Ashlawn Farm as the landing zone.
Local ambulance personnel brought the victim to the landing zone, arriving minutes before the helicopter touched down, officials said.
The helicopter transported the victim to The Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, fire officials said.
Officials did not release where or how the accident happened, or any information about the victim’s identity as of Wednesday afternoon.
