OLD LYME, CT — The Old Lyme Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission is scheduled to consider applications for a bridge and boardwalk reconstruction, a seawall repair, residential construction projects and other wetland-related matters when it meets Tuesday, July 28.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Memorial Meeting Hall, 52 Lyme St.
Among the new business items, commissioners are scheduled to review an application from the Old Lyme Open Space Commission for reconstruction of a washed-out bridge and boardwalk at 129-1 Whippoorwill Road. They will also consider an application to demolish and reconstruct a single-family home at 23 Osceola Trail, including installation of a new driveway, septic system and well.
Other applications include a proposal for a patio with a pergola and additional stairs at 64 Grassy Hill and a request for a seawall permit, seawall repairs and construction of two sheds at 7 Shore Drive. Commissioners are also scheduled to receive notification of an Inland Wetland Pesticide General Permit for Rogers Lake near 96 Grassy Hill.
Under old business, the commission is expected to continue reviewing an application for excavation and grading associated with construction of a single-family residence at 41-1 Whippoorwill Road.
During a public meeting, commissioners are scheduled to discuss a notice of violation related to property at 72 Grassy Hill Road.
The agenda also includes updates from the Wetlands Enforcement Officer regarding properties at 308-1 Mile Creek and 16 Neck Road/2 Sharon Drive, along with consideration of minutes from the commission's June 23 regular meeting and July 1 special site walk meeting.
The meeting will also be available remotely through Microsoft Teams. The commission's next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. in Memorial Meeting Hall.
