EAST LYME, CT — The Inland Wetlands Agency is scheduled to hold a public hearing Aug. 4 on an application to construct a single-family home and associated improvements at 55 Corey Lane in Niantic.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Upper-Level Conference Room at East Lyme Town Hall, 108 Pennsylvania Ave. The public hearing will consider an application submitted by engineer Will Walter, P.E., on behalf of property owner Wayne P. Cooper for the proposed construction at 55 Corey Lane. Following the hearing, the application is also listed under pending applications for possible agency action.
Commissioners are also scheduled to consider approval of the July 7 meeting minutes and receive an ex-officio report from Ann Cicchiello. No new business is listed on the agenda.

The agency will receive its regular reports, including the chairman's report and the Inland Wetlands Agent's report covering administrative permits, determinations and enforcement matters. Enforcement items include the Lakeside Point Subdivision conservation easement on Heritage Road, a notice of violation involving property at 9 Rocco Drive, and a complaint concerning properties at 33 and 37 Upper Walnut Hill Road. Commissioners are also scheduled to review correspondence before adjourning.
The agenda notes that state law allows residents to petition for a public hearing on an application by submitting a petition with 25 signatures within 15 days of the application's receipt. Application materials are available for public review through the town's Land Use Department during regular business hours.
