New England Landscape: Celebrating the Beauty of East Coast Scenery; & Palate to Palette: LAA's Signature Fundraiser in Support of the Ar

Lyme Art Association (LAA) is proud to announce New England Landscape, its annual juried exhibition celebrating the rich and varied charm of the East Coast, where nature's artistry unfolds in breathtaking beauty. This gorgeous art show includes rolling hills covered with trees, lonely roads, cow-dotted farmlands, historical homes, and bustling townscapes, all done in various mediums that visually explore people's connection to this extraordinary and gorgeous terrain.

Running concurrently is Bon Appétit. This exhibition features sumptuous and delectable depictions of food meant to tantalize both visual and culinary senses with masterpieces featuring delicious looking food and vivid depictions of bustling farmers' markets and restaurants.

New England Landscape and Bon Appétit are on view from September 18 - November 6, and the opening reception is Sunday, September 20 from 2 – 4 pm. New England Landscape is supported by Ascend Bank in partnership with the Community Foundation of Middlesex County.

On Thursday, October 15, the Lyme Art Association is hosting its signature fundraising gala, Palate to Palette, from 6pm – 9 pm at its galleries in Old Lyme. This fun event features live music, sumptuous fine food from top regional restaurants and caterers, and a silent auction of new artwork created by LAA member artists. All proceeds go towards supporting the Lyme Art Association's exhibitions and special projects, and ensure that this wonderful community of artists and art lovers continues to thrive. About the Lyme Art Association:

Founded in 1914 by the American Impressionists, the Lyme Art Association continues the tradition of exhibiting and selling representational artwork by its members and invited artists, as well as offering art instruction, lectures, and other public programs to the community. The Lyme Art Association is located at 90 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT, in a building designed by architect Charles Adams Platt. Admission is free with contributions appreciated.
