EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who reportedly tried to break into a home in the town's Laurel Hill neighborhood after midnight on Nov. 20.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, a resident told police "that they heard what sounded like an exterior door rattling and saw a person dressed in dark clothing run to a mid sized pick up truck parked at the end of the driveway."
The suspect quickly drove off, and an area search by police was unsuccessful. Anyone with information is urged to contact East Lyme Police Officer Matt Willett at 860-739-5900.
