State Police Identify Deceased Man Found In Old Lyme: Update

The discovery was made on the shore near Hatchett's Point Monday afternoon, Feb. 5.

OLD LYME, CT — A 44-year-old New Britain has been identified by state police as the person who was found deceased along the shore in the area of Hatchett’s Point in Old Lyme on Monday afternoon.

The body of Juan Colon was discovered at about 3 p.m. He had been reported missing to New Britain Police on November 23, 2017, according to Connecticut State Police.

"There is no criminal aspect to this untimely death investigation," wrote officials in a statement.

The case remains under investigation by detectives from Central District Major Crime (CDMC), who responded to the scene with members from state police Troop F-Westbrook.
