Busted Water Pipe Temporarily Closes 2 Lyme-Old Lyme Schools
Middle school students, however, will still have classes at another location on Thursday, Jan. 11, according to Region 18 officials.

OLD LYME, CT — A busted water pipe has led to the closure of Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School and Center School on Thursday, Jan. 11, but middle school students still will have classes at the high school, according to Region 18 officials. Center School's elementary students will not have classes on Thursday.
The district posted the following message about the situation on its website late Wednesday afternoon:
Due to a broken water pipe, the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School and Center School will not have any water on January 11, 2018. Therefore, all middle school students and staff should report to the high school for classes on January 11, 2018. Locations of middle school classes will be provided by middle school staff once the students enter the building.

Parents should utilize their normal pick up and drop off points to eliminate unnecessary congestion at the high school. Middle school staff members will be available to accompany students from their normal drop off and pick up points to the high school. Middle School parents and staff should park at the middle school as there will not be any parking available at the high school.
Previously scheduled middle school parent conferences will take place at the high school. Specific locations of said conferences will be provided when entering through the front door of the high school.
