2 Hospitalized Following Crash In Lyme, State Police Say
A woman was seriously injured in the accident, state police said.
LYME, CT — A crash involving a car and a waste services truck resulted in serious injuries in Lyme, according to state police.
The accident was reported to state police Monday at 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of Hamburg Road (Route 156) and Sterling City Road.
A Dodge Ram owned by Capalbos Waste Services was driving north on Route 156. A Toyota Highlander was also traveling on Route 156 in the opposite direction.

The Toyota was turning right when the car crossed over into the northbound lane and struck the Dodge head on, police said.
The Toyota's driver was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, state police said.

The Dodge's driver was taken to Middlesex Shoreline Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
