Crest Ford-The Gold Sponsor of East Lyme TOUCH A TRUCK

Don't miss Touch A Truck

On Saturday, May 20th, the East Lyme Auxiliary of Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut and the East Lyme Parks and Recreation Department will co-sponsor our Tenth Annual Touch-A-Truck event. This family event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCook Point Park in Niantic, CT.

The main event is, of course, trucks. Crest Ford of Niantic, our Gold Corporate Sponsor will have several new truck models on hand for children and adults to explore. In addition they will have one of their vans decked out as a Photo Booth. Attendees can pose in this very special ‘Touch A Truck Vehicle’ and snap photos of their children, friends and family to their heart’s content. The children will also be encouraged to paint an old Ford with hand prints and markers. In addition, the popular Crest Fort Horn will be available to the children for “blaring”.

For many years, Jim Leva of Crest Ford has been a special friend to TAT. He has brought his creativity to the event each year. From piercing horns to clever wooden truck mock-ups, Jim has entertained the children and families who have come to have their photos taken at the photo booth. Don’t miss this occasion to say hello to the Crest Ford people whose generous support has helped to make this fun event possible.

The E.L. Child and Family Auxiliary is saddened to note that Ken Young, The Crest Ford Frisbee man, has recently passed away. Each year, Ken would help out at the Photo Booth with friendliness and energy. We will always remember him blowing the Klaxon Horn, calling out to potential photo-takers, and giving out the Crest Ford Freebees. He will be sorely missed.

Other corporate Sponsors who make this event possible are:
