Teen, 16, Dies After Going Missing While Swimming In Lyme: Report
A dive team was requested, emergency responders said.

LYME, CT — A 16-year-old boy died after a swimming accident at Uncas Pond in Nehantic State Park Saturday afternoon in Lyme, according to WFSB 3 TV.
The teen was swimming with friends and ended up underwater, WTNH News 8 reported. He was found and taken to a local health care facility where he died, officials said. The teen's identity has not yet been released.
The South Fire District, Middletown Fire and Portland Fire responded to Uncas pond in the Town of Lyme Saturday evening, fire officials said.

"Dive team response was for a reported missing swimmer. The team worked collaboratively to conduct a systematic search pattern," South Fire District shared on social media. "The lost swimmer was found and resuscitative measures were immediately conducted. The patient was transported to the hospital and unfortunately did not survive. Our thoughts are with the family of the victim and to all responders that were involved."
And a kayaker died in Guilford on Sunday afternoon, according to WTNH News 8. (Read more at WTNH News 8).

The man was 33-years-old and he lost his paddle while kayaking, and he ended up in the water, WFSB 3 TV.
Emergency responders searched Lake Quonnipaug after a canoe tipped over Sunday and someone went underwater, NBC CT reported.
