Face Painting and Activities- Fun at Touch a Truck
The tenth annual Touch-A-Truck, co-sponsored by the East Lyme Auxiliary of Child and Family Agency and the East Lyme Parks and Recreation Department, will be held on Saturday, May 20th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McCook Point Park in Niantic. The suggested donation is $4 per person. Toddlers age two and under are admitted free.
Face Painting is always fun, and among the favorites are the beloved Fairy Princess, the ever so happy Clowns, and the scary Pirates. Barbara Mingo and her team will delight with Hair Beads, Hair Spray Painting, and Tattoos! Spray Hair Painting with optional long strands of beautiful hair beads are enjoyed by both the girls and the boys.
The Activities Committee is chaired by Tom and Ruth Hammell with assistance from Karen Peacock and Sue Ramsey. They will have numerous age appropriate activities that include the "famous" bubble table and a visit from "Gary, the Balloon Man" who will create the balloon whims each child desires. There will be building kits from Lowe's as well as arts and craft activities.

Roaming Railroad, a trackless train, will be with us for the fourth year. Dan DeCosmo of Suffield will lead children and their families on a ride through the park. There will be an additional charge of $3 per rider for this activity.
