Drama Workshop: The Day the Crayons Quit

Join us as we celebrate the 2015 Elementary Nutmeg Book Award Winner!

The Old Lyme-Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library will hold a drama workshop, “The Day the Crayons Quit”, with Ingrid Schaeffer on Monday, July 20 4:30-6:00PM. Poor Duncan just wants to color. But when he opens his box of crayons, he finds only letters, all saying the same thing: His crayons have had enough! They quit! What can Duncan possibly do to appease all of the crayons and get them back to doing what they do best?

Based on Drew Daywalt’s beloved picture book, kids ages 5-10 are invited to join acting teacher Ingrid Schaeffer as they play the crayons and act out this very funny but very true tale together. We will have a parade through the library with our protest posters. Then, using their new wisdom about coloring, children will color their very own artistic coloring page! All materials will be provided. Registration is required. Register online at www.oldlyme.lioninc.org under the “Children’s Programs” tab or call the Library 860-434-1684.
