East Lyme Cops Investigate Commercial Burglary

EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police are investigating a break in at Post Road Market, 217 Boston Post Road, that occurred at about 4:24 a.m. on July 17, and authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect.

"Forced entry was made by using a small pry tool to manipulate security plates on the front door frame and lock," wrote East Lyme police in a statement. "Once the perpetrator entered the business it appears that he went directly to the register and collected change from the cash drawer."

How much money was taken was not disclosed. Anybody with any information on the incident or the suspect is urged to contact East Lyme Police Detective Comeau #918 at 860-739-5900 and reference case number 18-8829-OF.
