East Lyme GOP And Democrat Committees Endorse Candidates
With endorsements from their respective Republican and Democrat parties, a number of candidates have announced bids for various town boards.

EAST LYME, CT—With endorsements from their respective parties, a number of candidates have announced bids for various town boards. The Day reported that the Republican and Democratic Town committees backed slatesfor the 2019 election.
Republicans endorsed First Selectman Mark Nickerson, who'll be seeking a fourth term. And Democrats nominated Debbie Jett-Harris to run against Nickerson. A recently appointed member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, she is retiring after nearly three decades with the state Department of Developmental Services, it was reported.
Incumbent Republican selectmen Marc Salerno, Paul Dagle, and Kevin Seery were endorsed to run for re-election and their Democratic incumbent colleagues Rose Ann Hardy and Daniel Cunningham are also in. The paper reported that East Lyme Planning Commission alternate Jason Deeble will run for the Board of Selectmen as a Democrat.
