East Lyme High Graduate and Former Mystic Schooner Drafted By Kansas City Royals
He had planned to become a chiropractor, but was instead chosen for the MLB.

East Lyme High School graduate Chase Livingston has been drafted by the Kansas City Royals, as reported by The Day.
Livingston played for the University of Rhode Island, but also spent some summers playing for the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, according to The Day. He was considered the best defensive catcher in the Atlantic 10 Conference, helping URI’s Rams secure an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Livingston is among four former or current Mystic Schooners drafted by the MLB, according to The Day. The other three include pitchers Willie Rios and Tyler Buffett, and infielder J.R. Davis.
