East Lyme Man Accused Of Beating Up Dog, Dog's Owner: Report

The incident allegedly occurred in August, and police arrested the suspect on a warrant this week.

EAST LYME, CT — A 34-year-old East Lyme man, who police said was looking for a bed to crash in, punched a dog in the face and also beat up the dog's owner when the victim refused to let the suspect sleep in his bed, reports The Day.

Arrested on a warrant charging him with cruelty to animals and third-degree assault was Jordan Shelton, of Black Point Road.

The incident allegedly occurred on Aug. 8, and the 48-year-old victim who knows Shelton suffered visible facial injuries in the attack, according to police.

Shelton was apprehended by police on Oct. 30. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8.
