East Lyme Man Charged In Serious Injury Assault: Police

A man was charged on allegations that he used a hammer in a serious injury assault, according to police.

EAST LYME, CT — An East Lyme man is being charged in connection to a serious injury assault, according to police. East Lyme and Mohegan Tribal police took Kevin Daigneault, 62, into custody Wednesday at about 6:30 p.m. on an active arrest warrant.

The warrant is connected to a months-long investigation into a serious injury assault that involved a hammer being used on a victim, according to police. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Daigneault was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, first-degree assault, second-degree strangulation/suffocation, and first-degree unlawful restraint. He was held on $150,000 bond.
