East Lyme Man Faces Child Endangerment Charges: Police

EAST LYME, CT — An East Lyme man is facing child endangerment charges, according to police. Andrew Slager, 44, was charged with risk of injury to a child and third-degree assault.

Slager is accused of slapping the victim, who he then threw to the floor and possibly choked in September of last year, according to an arrest warrant. He is also accused of choking the victim on another occasion.

Slager was arrested on a warrant last month. He was held on $150,00 surety bond. Slager was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Friday.
