East Lyme PD Warns Residents About 'Porch Pirates'

EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police officials are warning residents to be on the look out for "porch pirates," thieves that steal packages that have been dropped off by couriers at residences.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, officials stated that there have been at least two reports of a white van driving up to homes and someone jumping out and stealing packages.

"Please be alert and bring your packages in as soon as possible," wrote police. "If you notice any suspicious vehicles contact your local police immediately."
