East Lyme Police Search For 'Suspicious' Vehicle In Niantic

NIANTIC, CT — East Lyme police are searching for a "suspicious" vehicle seen speeding out of a driveway on Terrace Avenue in Niantic early Thursday.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, a witness reported "suspicious activity" taking place on Terrace Avenue at about 3:42 a.m. involving two unknown people. The pair parked and went into an adjacent driveway, and then left "the area at an extremely high rate of speed."

The vehicle is described as a light-colored "Acura type SUV with chrome trim and fog lights."

East Lyme police are investigating to determine what, if anything may have been stolen in area.
