EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police, picking up on recent Facebook post from Clinton police, are warning residents about a particularly dangerous form of synthetic marijuana that goes by the name "K2" or "Spice."

On Jan. 25, five people were admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital within an hour's time, one of whom died, all believed to have overdosed on the substance, according to police.

"The resealable zipper baggie was observed to be made of purple foil/Mylar material," wrote Clinton police. "Please be aware of the potential danger of these or similar products!"
