Election 2016 Results: The Lymes Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

On Election Night, 60.26 percent of Lyme residents preferred Hilary Clinton over Donald Trump, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 1,019 Lyme residents voted for Clinton and 567 voted for Trump. Johnson additionally received 73 votes, while Stein received 28.
In East Lyme, 5,512 residents voted for Clinton and 4,214 voted for Trump, while 330 residents voted for Johnson and 144 voted for Stein. In Old Lyme, 2,473 residents voted for Clinton and 1,990 voted for Trump, while 142 voted for Johnson and 63 voted for Stein.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 1,130 votes in Lyme on multiple lines. He received 6,426 votes in East Lyme and 2,887 in Old Lyme across multiple lines.
Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 548 votes in Lyme, 3,292 in East Lyme and 1,661 in Old Lyme.

Democrat Joe Courtney crushed Republican candidate Daria Novak in the 2nd Congressional District race, with Courtney earning 1,661 votes in Lyme, 6,768 in East Lyme and 2,967 in Old Lyme on multiple lines. Novak amassed 532 votes in Lyme, 2,912 in East Lyme and 1,545 in Old Lyme.
Republican candidate Art Linares beat out Democratic candidate Norm Needleman and Green Party candidate Colin D. Bennett in the 33rd Senatorial District race. Linares, however, did not win out in Lyme, where he garnered 773 votes across multiple lines. Needleman amassed 887 votes.
In East Lyme and Old Lyme, Republican candidate Paul M. Formica declared victory over Democratic candidate Ryan Henowitz in the race for 20th Senatorial District. Formica received 7,201 in East Lyme and 2,973 in Old Lyme, and Henowitz received 2,758 in East Lyme and 1,582 in Old Lyme.
In the 37th State House District, Republican Holly H. Cheeseman won out over Democrat Beth Hogan. Cheeseman garnered 5,420 votes on multiple lines, while Hogan received 4,448 votes.
Republican Devin R. Carney ran unopposed in the 23rd State House District race, receiving 1,183 votes in Lyme and 3,444 in Old Lyme across multiple lines in the process.
Democrat Dianne Ahlberg received 967 votes and Jane C. Boyd received 674 votes for registrar of voters in Lyme. Democrat Marylin C. Clarke received 2,397 votes and Republican Catherine Quine Carter received 2,038 in Old Lyme.
