The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is accepting applications from runners wishing to take part in the Niantic Bay Half Marathon & 5K Road Race Sept. 23rd at Rocky Neck State Park in Niantic.
In addition, a 5K walk will be held to help raise money for the Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to promote initiatives that enhance and enrich education and economic opportunities in the region.
The chamber’s health care council will be organizing a fitness expo with health screenings.

The popular event routinely attracts a large number of runners who have the choice of either running a 5K or half-marathon. Registration is limited to 1,200 participants. There will be free t-shirts to the first 1,000 who register.
