Identity Released Of Victim In Fatal East Lyme Crash: Update

The crash occurred late Saturday night, Nov. 10.

EAST LYME, CT — A 35-year-old Niantic man has been identified as the man who was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Flanders Road in East Lyme, reports NBC Connecticut.

Chad Ebersole was pronounced dead at the scene of the 11 p.m. crash.

Lily Chalifour, 21, also of Niantic, was a passenger in Ebersole's vehicle and was injured in the incident, as was Travis Gauvin, 29, of Norwich, who was the driver of the other vehicle.

The two were transported to Hartford Hospital via helicopter following the crash for treatment, but their conditions have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.

Original story: A fatal head-on collision in East Lyme late Saturday night claimed the life of one of the drivers and injured a passenger and the other driver, reports WTNH-TV.

The identity of the person who was killed has not been released. The two injured people were airlifted via the Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital for treatment, writes The Day.

According to East Lyme police, the two-vehicle crash occurred at about 11 p.m. on Flanders Road, and anyone who may have witnessed it, or has any information about it, is urged to contact the East Lyme Police Department at 860-739-5900.
