Fate Decided Of TV Show With Arrested CT Reality Star: Report

OLD LYME, CT — Production has been suspended on a new home renovation reality show starring Christopher Dionne, the 36-year-old Old Lyme resident arrested by state police Monday on charges that he allegedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl last fall.

Dionne and his identical twin brother, Michael, recently had been filming episodes of "House Rescue" for A&E Networks, which made the decision late Monday to stop production of the show for the time being, reports The Wrap.

The new show was scheduled to air in 2018, but if or when it will resume filming was not disclosed. In addition to "House Rescue," the Dionne brothers also starred in a pilot for HGTV called "Family Flip" in 2015. That show only aired one episode, and HGTV removed references to Dionne from its website on Monday following the arrest, writes Heavy.com.

Dionne, a married father of two, has been accused of allegedly touching the girl's buttocks underneath her sleepwear, lifting up her shirt, touching her chest and taking photos of her with a cell phone, according to state police. The incident allegedly occurred last November during a children's sleepover at his Old Lyme home after a birthday party for his own daughter.

He turned himself in to state police custody Monday after authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He appeared in New London Superior Court on Monday and has been released after posting a $100,000 bond.

Dionne denied the charges to state police, stressing that he did not do anything of a sexual nature with the victim. He also admitted to state police that he had a non-sexual relationship with the victim's mother when he and his wife of six years went through a difficult period a couple of years back, writes The Day.
