Favorite Flicks: Minions

Catch a new DVD release on the big screen!

The Old Lyme-Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library will host a showing of Minions in the Community Room from 3:45-5:15PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Grab your friends, choose some movie snacks and catch Minions on the big screen. From imdb.com: “Ever since the dawn of time, the Minions have lived to serve the most despicable of masters. From T. rex to Napoleon, the easily distracted tribe has helped the biggest and the baddest of villains. Now, join protective leader Kevin, teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob on a global road trip where they’ll earn a shot to work for a new boss-the world’s first female super-villain-and try to save all of Minionkind...from annihilation.” Drop-ins are welcome, but registration is strongly encouraged! This film is rated PG and runs approximately 90 minutes. Visit us at oldlyme.lioninc.org and click on “Children,” then “Programs” or call the Library at (860) 434-1684 to register.

Need a ride? Simply indicate that your child will be taking the afterschool activity bus with the name of their school on our registration form, then send a note to your child’s homeroom teacher giving them permission to ride the After School Activity Bus (Bus “A” for students from Mile Creek and Bus “C” for students from Lyme Consolidated). An adult will greet children at the corner of Lyme Street and Library Lane and then escort them into the building for the program. Please be advised that the afterschool activity bus will stop at the Library on program days only. Also, in addition to notifying the school, parents are required to call the Library directly at (860) 434-1684 if plans change the day of a program and your child is unable to ride the bus for any reason.
