Final East Lyme Recreation Dept. Concert-Huge Success
What a night! The final E.L. Recreation Dept. Concert of summer, 2021, held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, was a great success. Although the weather conditions seemed uncertain during the day, the evening turned out to be perfect.
Dave Putnam, Director of the Parks and Recreation Dept. estimated that at least 1,000 patrons attended this free concert at McCook Park. Since the band, Fusion, had such energy, many participants could be seen dancing in front of the bandstand.

As twilight descended, the enthusiastic crowd was delighted as the lights came on to illuminate the band stand and the perimeter of the seating area. These lights had been donated by the East Lyme Public Trust Foundation, who also sponsored the concert.
Carol Marelli, the President of the Foundation said, “The weather, the crowd, and the band all contributed to a magical evening”.
